BIG AL'S IS A MOTATAPU BIKE CHECK SHOP FEB 16th to MARCH 8th 5pm. 2012 Big Al's is Methvens only specialist bike shop. We have been around bikes for as long as we have around snowsports. When mountain biking started in the hills we were there. Now days we are into all two wheelers - downhill, x- country, jump, bmx and roadbikes. If you are in Methven drop in and check us out.

Methven Mt Hutt Village is a great place for cycling of all disciplines. The center of attraction is the Mt Hutt Bike Park. Just out of Methven at the base of Mt Hutt with Great downhill and freeride trails with a new cross-country track. There is some great riding to be had here. The Methven Jump Park and Methven Walkway provide the action in town. Not to be left behind there is plenty of action for roadbikes and lycra. Great flat riding on uncrowded country roads, throw in the odd hill and a couple of dive-bombing magpies in October and you have excitement plus.

Big Al's has retail, rental and workshop facilities. Shimano and Sram certified mechanic Richie is here to service your machines. If he is out riding he is just a txt away. Tyres, tubes, helmets, hydration, all those bits you need when you are on the go are available from Big Al's. Drop in for trail-maps best riding tips and all the stuff you need to know about biking in and about Methven Mt Hutt Village. Our rental fleet has full suspension x-country bikes and xc hardtails.
