Big Als Snowsports is Methven's premier specialty ski/snowboard rental, repair and retail store. We are located in the heart of Methven Mt Hutt Village at the base of New Zealand's Mt Hutt Ski Area. There are many smaller club and commercial ski fields close by. New Zealands best heliskiing operates from Methven in the mountains far behind Mt Hutt. Mt. Hutt

Mt Hutt is known to have one of the longest and most reliable snow seasons in New Zealand. High speed lifts open up unlimited access to unparalleled Southern Alps skiing and riding. Mt Hutt has something for every one including a covered beginners lift.

We hire almost everything, just bring your underwear and we can get you sliding. We rent skis/snowboards,clothing, gloves. You need it we probably hire it.

Our staff are dedicated snowboarders and skiers who have grown up on Mount Hutt before heading off to northern winters.

We have a huge amount of local knowledge about Methven Mt Hutt Village the Mt Hutt Ski Area and the surrounding smaller club fields. That's why we are World Famous in Methven.

In summer bikes are our business
