Equipment Storage and Sale Policy for Servicing
Purpose:
To establish clear guidelines regarding equipment left for servicing, specifically bikes and snow equipment, and to define procedures for handling equipment that remains unclaimed beyond a specified period.
Policy:
Acceptance and Storage:
All equipment submitted for servicing (bikes or snow equipment) will be stored securely while awaiting repairs.
Ownership and Responsibility:
Customers are responsible for collecting their equipment in a timely manner after servicing is completed.
Unclaimed Equipment Duration:
Equipment that remains unclaimed for longer than three (3) months from the date of completion of service will be considered abandoned.
Sale of Unclaimed Equipment:
- If the equipment is snow equipment and remains unclaimed beyond three months, it will be sold during our May Sale event.
- For bikes, unclaimed items will be subject to separate policy guidelines (if applicable), or handled individually.
Notification and Reminder:
- Customers will be notified upon completion of servicing and when their equipment is ready for pickup.
- Reminders will be sent periodically before the three-month deadline.
Sale Proceeds:
Funds from the sale of unclaimed snow equipment will be retained by the business or used to offset service costs as per store policy.
Exceptions:
- Special arrangements can be made for long-term storage or extenuating circumstances upon request.
Implementation Date: This policy is effective immediately and will be reviewed annually
