Equipment Storage and Sale Policy for Servicing

Equipment Storage and Sale Policy for Servicing

Purpose:
To establish clear guidelines regarding equipment left for servicing, specifically bikes and snow equipment, and to define procedures for handling equipment that remains unclaimed beyond a specified period.

Policy:

Acceptance and Storage:
All equipment submitted for servicing (bikes or snow equipment) will be stored securely while awaiting repairs.

Ownership and Responsibility:
Customers are responsible for collecting their equipment in a timely manner after servicing is completed.

Unclaimed Equipment Duration:
Equipment that remains unclaimed for longer than three (3) months from the date of completion of service will be considered abandoned.

Sale of Unclaimed Equipment:

  • If the equipment is snow equipment and remains unclaimed beyond three months, it will be sold during our May Sale event.
  • For bikes, unclaimed items will be subject to separate policy guidelines (if applicable), or handled individually.

Notification and Reminder:

  • Customers will be notified upon completion of servicing and when their equipment is ready for pickup.
  • Reminders will be sent periodically before the three-month deadline.

Sale Proceeds:
Funds from the sale of unclaimed snow equipment will be retained by the business or used to offset service costs as per store policy.

Exceptions:

  • Special arrangements can be made for long-term storage or extenuating circumstances upon request.

Implementation Date: This policy is effective immediately and will be reviewed annually
